I started this blog in 2010 with the main purpose of addressing language learners about key issues that can influence their learning success: how to analyse their needs, how to consider the effectiveness of a training option, or simply tricky language points. Gradually I started addressing teachers like myself as well, discussing matters of teaching method, of assessment, of language definition, of how language works.

Since 2012 I have been enrolled in an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages with the University of Lancaster. One result of this exposure to the academic world has been that I have also started discussing more theoretical issues, as the readings that I have done either confirmed, or challenged my previous assumptions.
